This site is a tribute to Barbara Acton. She is much loved and will always be remembered.
Barbara loved being a Wife, Mum, Grandma, Great Grandma, Great Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and friend; she loved her family and was a wonderful fun loving, caring lady with a twinkle in her beautiful smiling eyes.
Barbara was such an amazing lady, she showed all those in her life how to help each other, laugh together and that being good and kind were qualities we should all embrace.
She made her home a home to many, always having time for a brew and a chat or if you arrived at the right time a bacon butty or some of her delicious home made pea soup and dumplings.
She liked the simple things in life, a walk on the beach, a family dinner, a family gathering playing games and having lots of laughs; she was the centre of our universe and shaped us all to be the people we are today and showed us all how to value family and friendship.
Reaching 90 years of age is such an amazing blessing and we were indeed blessed to spend so much time with our lovely Mum, making memories that will comfort us in days to come.
We wanted to make this tribute page for Mum to raise funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance Service as they were so amazing and kind to us and the work that they do is not government funded but relies on donations and we know that Mum would have wanted to help them to continue their amazing work.
Thank you on behalf of our Mum for your kindness and generosity xxxx
Jill - Mum, you were the absolute best and you gave us all so much love and laughter, I love you lots and Jelly Tots xxxx You were fearless and inspirational and always there for everyone, one of my many happy memories was when the family all clubbed together and sent you and I to London so that we all could make your wish to see the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall happen upon arrival, we had the most posh and delicious meal ever, we were exuberant in our singing, flag waving and foot stomping the performance was both moving and electric, finishing with indoor fireworks and cannons in time to the music, we loved it and I’m so glad I got to share that experience with you.
Mike - "See ya babe, love you Mum"... Thank you for being such a beautiful person and friend, we miss you xxxx
